Purpose of the role
The Teacher of English - Second in Charge will ensure that high-quality learning takes place and that outstanding attainment and progress are secured at all stages. The purpose of the Teacher of English is to deliver engaging and effective English lessons that develop student’s understanding, and inspire and equip students with strong language and literacy skills, fostering a deep appreciation for literature and effective communication. They create engaging lessons that develop reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking abilities, preparing students for academic success and real-world challenges. They will plan and assess learning, support students of varying abilities, and foster a positive attitude toward English.
